The title is optional

On my way to see someone in East London I was passing through Angel when I heard jazz-like music being played outside a church. I parked the car and went back to check it out. Free food, a few dozen people ligh-dancing, hand clapping, by-sun-kissed and a smiley lady casually singing with an ukulele in her hands and three aides around her. The Queen has just finished her Diamond Jubilee and this was one of the last ripples fading away. They called it “Soul in The City” and it was in fact a festival, the St Mary Islington Neighbourhood Festival and I landed on the last bit of the last of six days fun. I wouldn’t mind more of this if duty hadn’t made the call. Hapiness is not meant to last anyway. But I stole a picture or two just to prove that it WAS there at least
